The 18-year-old is relishing his first season in Varsity Football and has been on the rise of late. With wonderful skill with the ball at his feet and a couple of breath-taking performances “Tsiki’ has certainly caught the eye of varsity football supporters and will be a vital player in UJ’s upcoming semi-final clash against CUT.
‘Tsiki’ is a young humble boy with dreams of becoming a footballer. “To me football is more than just a sport because it keeps me smiling, and I love the game,” said Ntsabeleng. The talented player thanks his parents for giving him the gift of playing football. In his recent match against Wits, in which he scored and assisted, he also managed to bag an FNB Man of the Match award and was singled out by Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba, who claimed that it was Ntsabeleng’s best game of his career.
“The Man of the Match award I received at Wits game takes the crown,” he said. “What makes it the best is that my family saw me play the best game of my life.”
Tsiki already has three goals and three assist so far in the Varsity Football 2016 season and still wants a shot at glory as UJ play a crucial semi-final to decide their fate.
Having represented and played for the 2016 ‘Stars of Africa’ team, Tsiki’s short term and long term goals are to win the Varsity Football with UJ, and also succeed both academically and in his footballing career.
