UCT play their final match this coming Monday against UJ in Pretoria. They aim to play their best and go out with a bang in the hopes of redeeming themselves on the court once more.
After a thrashing from Pukke on Monday, UCT are not ready to throw in the towel just yet. This team of determined ladies is staying true to their motto, “Give 100% till the end”, aiming to give it their all, right until that final whistle blows.
UCT are keen to stick to their original game plan of keeping consistencies of attack and defence and utilising their players to up their game performance and court mobility. As Simone Peters, UCT captain, says after each game, UCT aim to go back to basics in an attempt to correct errors made in past losses and move forward from there.
The team has shown that despite these past losses, they are keen to stay composed and not lose their consistencies and calm nature in the face of a scoreboard not in their favour. This team has shown time and again that what they want most is to have fun as a team, keep good morale going between players and bring their fire to the game no matter what.
They look forward to their journey to Pretoria as well, due to the fun they are sure to have travelling there and back together; as well as stays at accomodations planned for them, where they are sure to bond and make tons of team memories.
