UP-Tuks will face the University of Cape Town on a Monday afternoon encounter as the Pretoria team look to secure their dominant positions at the top of the log. UCT, however, will be hoping to get back to winning ways after they suffered a 60-29 defeat to hosts, NMMU last night.
It is the opposite for the Tuks side, who pulled off a final quarter flurry to finish 65-48 winners against Maties. UP-Tuks head coach Jenny van Dyk was pleased with the team’s performance.
“I really enjoyed the match,” said van Dyk. “The team had to battle it out all the way to the end. They kept their composure and pulled through a great win in the final stages of the match.
“We are looking forward to the match [against UCT]. Every opportunity we get to grow, we will be using,” said van Dyk about the prospects of today’s match.
Tuks face UCT at 16:30 on Monday 12 September in PE.
