With the 2019 Varsity Cricket tournament set to start on Monday, 2 September the eight competing teams have shown their readiness for action by confirming their squads.
Once again, each varsity will be represented by 14-player squads during the week-long tournament. Included in the 112 players is reigning Varsity Cricket Player of the Tournament Neil Brand, who will return in Tuks colours aiming to impress again ahead of his debut season as a contracted professional player with the Titans.

Most squads have a high percentage of returning players, but there will also be a high number of first years making their debuts – including the entire Madibaz squad – in Varsity Cricket. Their performances in the tournament will undoubtedly be kept watch off considering the number who’ve graduated to the franchise cricket and further like Proteas like Aiden Markram, Lungi Ngidi and Anrich Nortjé – among others.
