TUT are determined to hold into their number one position when they host CUT in the Varsity Football match at the TUT Stadium on Monday.

TUT are currently soaring high at the summit of the Varsity Football log with 13 points after five games. Both CUT and TUT remain unbeaten in the competition so far and the game on Monday has already been dubbed ‘clash at the top’ with both teams fighting for the number one spot.

CUT has been a surprise package in this year’s tournament and TUT captain, Elliot Seema has conceded that they are a closed book heading to the big match on Monday.

“We don’t know much about them. They are a closed book,” said Seema.
“We are going with our normal routine as far as preparation for the game is concerned. Our mission is still same. We want to take the number one spot to give us an advantage by hosting both the semi-final and the final. So we want the win at all costs on Monday,” he added.

TUT are set to bank their hopes on striker Jacob Hlalele again for goals, when they take on CUT on Monday. Hlalele is currently enjoying a great vein of form in front of goals having netted four so far in the competition.

The match kicks off at 18:30 on Monday 22 August.
