Lefébre Rademan, captain of the Kovsies, is one of the most high profile players in Varsity Netball and already gathered a couple of accolades this year.
In both the Telkom League and National Championship, she was named as the Tournament’s Best Shooter.
The 23-year-old goal attack made her debut in the competition in her first year in 2015 and has since gone on to represent SA Under-21 and SA A.

Most memorable match in the tournament over the years?
The final of 2018! We played Tuks in front of a full house in the Callie Human Centre and won by 63-59. It was our first title in four years. (Rademan was also the FNB Player of the Match).
What part of Varsity Netball do you enjoy the most?
I love the vibe that it creates. It is such a fun and competitive competition.
What’s your hobby outside of netball?
Spending time with family and friends and I also enjoy the outdoors.
What job do you think you’d be good at?
Being a teacher.

Do you have a hidden talent?
I can ride horse. I was in the Western Province equestrian team during my school days. [She attended Langenhoven High School in Riversdale]
What are you addicted to?
Chocolate.
Which current opposition player would you have on your team and why?
Khomotso Mamburu (goal defence of the Maties). We played together and she is great to train against.
What’s your least favourite netball exercise?
Anything with cones …
With which celebrity/celebrities do you have a photo together?
Sharni Layton, former Australian defender who in her time regarded as the world’s best.
What day in your life would you like to repeat?
Definitely last year’s Varsity Netball final!
